An Interesting Article On Patents, Particularly On Software

I picked up this article from one of my tech lists. "Are Software Patents Evil?" was written by Paul Graham. It was an interesting article because it outlined some of the history of patents, and the pros and cons in using them. It wasn't lambasting, or overly opinionated--but frank and down-to-earth. In short, enjoyable. So I looked at his other essays and I like his style.

Paul wrote another essay entitled, "How To Do What You Love", where he states, "if you think something's supposed to hurt, you're less likely to notice if you're doing it wrong. That about sums up my experience of graduate school." Hilarious!

Yet Another Blog

I have been blogging off and on for about three years now, and I finally decided to explore Blogger.com more. I am pleased to see that they offer syndication feeds for free accounts now.

I'm not exactly sure what I want to put here yet, but I do want to try this service. I am using Mozilla Thunderbird to catalog all the blogs are read and write. Now that I have a post in this one, I can add it to my list.
